Banedanmark is preparing a procurement of two single-phase traction transformers for the railway power supply at Kassø substation in southern Denmark. The units will replace two existing transformers in connection with Energinet's reconstruction of the 150 kV substation, which raises the short-circuit level of the substation. Indicative main parameters: single-phase traction transformer, approximately 23 MVA, 150 kV system (Um 170 kV) to 27.5 kV, outdoor installation, on-load tap changer on the high voltage side. The cooling method is being clarified. The parameters are preliminary and may change. The procurement is expected to cover the complete delivery, that is the transformers including transport, installation, site testing and commissioning. The final scope will be set out in the tender documents. Delivery is expected during 2028. The final delivery date will be set out in the tender documents. Prior to the procurement, Banedanmark will conduct a market dialogue with relevant suppliers in order to establish lead times, technical feasibility and commercial terms. Suppliers wishing to take part in the dialogue are invited to contact the contact person no later than Friday 28 August 2026. Meetings with suppliers responding to this notice are expected to take place in week 37. Participation in the market dialogue is neither a condition for nor an impediment to submitting a tender at a later stage, and information from the dialogue that is relevant to competition will be included in the tender documents and made available to all tenderers. This notice is for information only and does not constitute a call for competition. The procedure, scope and timetable have not been finally decided, and the notice does not bind Banedanmark. The procurement is expected to be published by a separate contract notice in October 2026.
